Hi, I am 18 years old. I am a major coffeeholic, and I drink at the minimum 4-5 cups of coffee a day. Whenever I don't drink a cup of coffee, I get a headache. I don't know why. I've heard others say they get a headache if they don't have a cup of coffee in the morning. Why would this happen? Is it unhealthy to drink 4-5 cups of coffee a day. Somtimes I drink more cups a day.

I had like 5 big glasses of coffee this morning, and now I feel like death, and I am getting a headache. Could that be from all of the caffeine? I am only around 100 lbs. if that matters.

I know there are some headache medicines that have caffeine in them, but I don't remember which ones. Please enlighten me.
Thank you!
Oh yeah - I mean over-the-counter brands.

Ok, I read earlier on Yahoo that 300mg of caffeine was considered "Moderate" usage and safe. With the combination of NoDoz, Diet Mt. Dew, and Rockstar energy drinks I consume in a day I'm between 1,800mg and 2,100mg of caffeine a day. If I go more than an hour without anything I get a bad headache and really grumpy. I work midnights, and my job requires me to be alert at all times. If 300mg is moderate, I'd hate to see what category I'm in. Any help would be appriciated.

I just wonder because I'm trying to cut back on soda and I've noticed it seems the days I don't have any caffeine, I end up getting a bad headache later on at night.
