I have a very good coffee and espresso machine. Since the most complicated thing I know how to make with it is a cappuccino (which tastes very good), I was wondering if anyone knew how to make more complicated drinks that you might find at coffee houses. I assume they really aren't that hard to make, its just that I can't seem to get the proportions right...
Say, a mocha, iced coffee drinks, and any other recipe you might know. Thanks!

Those things are like 100 decibels.
I reject the answer of:
"acoustic accents" to highlight the coffee going experience.
I'm talking about the Espresso machine noise, as in the sound that stops all nearby conversation dead until it completes, and pains the ears.
Not talking about the normal deli plate and spoon jiggling, etc.
A friend of mine just indicated I might be thinking of the steamer, and not the espresso machine.
If that's the case, then I pose the same question re: the steamer.

This is probably a dumb question, but can you make a regular cup of coffee with an espresso machine? I never drink coffee, but my mother is a coffee addict and drinks all sorts of coffee drinks; lattes, cappuccinos, espressos and regular ol' cups o' joe. I want to get her a nice espresso machine for Christmas but I want to make sure it can also make regular cups of coffee. Do espresso machines do this? Thanks a lot everyone. Also if you have any suggestions about fairly inexpensive machines (approximately 0 max) that is also appreciated.

Trying to make a caramel macchiato at home! Got the milk and caramel sauce but all I'm missing is the shot of espresso. Don't have an espresso machine so two questions:
Do they sell shots or containers of "ready to use" espresso anywhere? Such as they would with coffee creamer.
Or are there any substitutes for espresso?
Thanks

I was offered a spot inside a business complex to set up my espresso bar. My cart is fully self contained and the place I will be set up does not have 220V access. Will I be able to run a business successfully on a 110V espresso machine? The one I have in mind is a Nuovo Simonelli Appia 2 group.

This last Christmas, my aunt gave me a used espresso machine. It did not come with a manual, and i have no idea on how to use it. From my estimates, I would say that it is from the late 80's, or the early 90's. It is made by Krups. And there is only two settings; Brewing and steaming for milk. It also did not come with a tamper. I was hoping that someone could help me figure out the model of machine I have, and if anyone knows any tricks or tips that would help with making espresso.

I want to buy a used Thermoplan espresso machine, but I'm wondering if it will work with a flow jet water pump. My espresso cart will be completely portable.

My husband and I are looking for automatic (below 0) espresso machine. The problem is that we use both decaff and regular beans. So while many of the automatic machines have grinder I need an option that will allow using other beans.
Are you familiar with such machine?
And yes I've checked the different models but I'm having hard time to see if such option is available
And we're looking for sub 00 machine (around 500-700$)

I'm looking for a non commercial grade coffee and espresso machine. One that can make different types of coffee drinks such as cappuccinos, macchiato, latte, and mocha?
Does anyone sell these online and what brands are good?
Thanks
