So I got a few packets of starbucks coffee and it says to use them with a french press, but I don't have one. Can I use it with a regular coffee maker? Is there a way to simulate a french press with something else? What would be the difference? Thanks!
Yeah I looked for the sample pack with 6 but they didn't have it anymore at that store unfortunately. I got a 3 pack, and then the Christmas blend.
im wondering weather to buy my parents an espresso machine for Christmas. but i only have about 150 to spend, so i don't know if its worth it cause i probably wont end up with a good one for that much. do you guys know or own any affordable espresso machines that make quality espresso? thanks:)
I just did the math.... I'm spending 00/ yr @ Starbucks on lattes. My mom asked me yesterday what I want for Christmas and I decided that I'm going to ask for an espresso machine. I am clueless though. I have one now but it's not all that great (at all). Can someone help me out???
I agree regarding the independent coffee shops. However, there are none in my town, at least none that are enroute to work.
My husband bought me one of these guys for Christmas two years ago, and I used it every day for about a month..then put it away...never to be heard from again until today lol. I remember reading in its instruction manual that a once-a-month cleaning is necessary to keep it working great..but i can't find the manual..and i don't remember HOW it said to clean it. I usually use watered down white vinegar on my regular coffee maker, but I'm not sure if I can use it on this. If I can, how does it work, do i just let it process through like its brewing espresso? how do I clean the inside of the steam wand? I'd really like to use it again this evening, if at all possible.
Lon, you need to start leaving more than just 1 or 2 word answers to questions, and not just random words that don't make sense to the question just to get points. Please show some respect.
Im getting 20 dollars a week, and with that im going to buy my sister and mother a present.I already have 20 from last week, and im getting 20 tomorrow, and so on each week until christmas.
I think that equals to 80 dollars, for two people, which is okay i guess.
My mum usually gives me money to buy my sister a present, but that's pointless it's like shes buying my sister a present instead of me buying it for my sister.
And she always gives me money to buy her presents for occasions, that's like she's buying herself presents, pointless aswell, but that's all because i Never got an allowance i only go random things, and money whenever i asked.
I really want to change thing's this year,by ME buying them presents,so ive saved up,by xmas ill have 80,and i don't know what to buy them.
My sister is 12 she likes,clothes,hang bags,fashions,but isn't really a Girly girl,and i totally have no ideas.
I want to buy my mum the BEST presents, seeing she always buys me an my sister things and never herself, ive heard her saying she likes the following.
Cappuccino machine ()
Jamie Olivia book ()
Black stilettos ()

ps. just to make things clear,my mum never asked for those things, she never asks for anything, she cares more about me and my sis,ive heard her saying that's nice and so on,and remember the things shes liked,so thats how i know the list.

I'm looking for an Espresso-Latte machine to buy my wife for Christmas. This is the first machine I've bought and would like some advice. Basically from what I've read one of the most important this is pump driven.
The DeLonghi EC155 doesn't seem bad. It seems to carry decent reviews. http://www.amazon.com/DeLonghi-EC155-Espresso-Maker/dp/B000F49XXG/ref=pd_sbs_k?ie=UTF8&qid=1196695533&sr=1-11
Any recipes...all the ones I've found are with ice, not the refrigerated drink. I imagine we can do it the same without the ice!?!? Anyone tried it, is it close?
I don't know much about coffee, cappuccino, frappuccino, espresso, lattes...but do the have a machine like a cappuccino machine that makes the cold drinks? Or can you make it in a cappuccino machine and then refrigerate it to get a frappuccino?
Thanks...Christmas ideas for my mother!!! She loves these expensive little things!

My parents bought me a nice Krups espresso machine for Christmas, along with a cappucino accessory (basically, a metal pitcher to hold milk). In the instruction booklet, it says a cappucino is "1/3 espresso, 1/3 steamed milk, 1/3 froth." The instructions includes directs for "heating milk," but it doesn't exactly say if it'll make the milk froth.
Am I correct in assuming that, when I use the milk steaming attachment, it'll do the frothing part as well?
I bought a Mr Coffee cappuccino/espresso machine for my husband for christmas, he wants french vanilla cappuccino like at the gas stations, rich and creamy. Do I use french vanilla coffee or something else?
