1, if i want to make a standard double Espresso do i need to put 2 scoops of coffee into the basket.

2, i have glanced at espresso machine manuals and a lot of them appear to be manual machines ie you have to tell the machine when to stop when making my espressos is the a rough standard time that i need to memorize or will it stop automatically

also when making my espresso's do i need to look for the crema as the guide as to when i should stop the machine.

3, when grinding the coffee does it have to be fine, my reason for asking is costa coffee grind theirs to a medium consistency from what they said, also if it was under or overground how would this affect the coffee
