I'm have a very low tolerance level, and have never tried coffee before, and would (and need) like to, i want to start of with the lowest amounts, as to prevent a bad addiction and create withdrawal symptons.
Sorry I forgot to add, not including de-caf.
I'm talking about the different kinds of coffee (not just decaf), such as- latte, cappucino, mocha etc (I don't know many, hence the question).

Two ketone groups and 4 nitrogens with lone pairs make caffeine very water soluble. Wouldn't this mean it would be very hard for it to passively diffuse through the BBB?

Ok so caffeine has the ability to keep you awake and stuff like that. so are they're like any liquids or foods or remedies or concoctions out there that can cause you to become sleep or fall asleep? ive seen so answers around the internet suggest drinking beer or alcohol but....idk where this comes from alcohol doesn't help me sleep at all. but either way im just wondering?

I was at the Starbucks Shop located within the Red Lion Hotel in Elko Nevada on Sunday October 15, 2006 at 3:45 pm, where I orderd a grande size green tea. I gave my Starbucks credit card for payment. I know that the last time I had used the card it had a little over a .00 dollar balance. The female clerk taking my order and card fidgeted with the credit card computer which was a separate device from the computer cash register. The tea cost was a .81. I asked for a receipt which indicated I only had a .99 balaance. I did not have the previous receipt so had no evidence to present with which to argue with the clerk about my drastically redeced balance. I believe she deliberately shortchanged me but how it could benefit her, I have no explanation as I am not versed in how that may have been accomplished.. I am only bring this to the attention of the Starbucks Corporation in the event this is happening elsewhere and they may stop it before we, as consumers, loose confidence .

I have a basketball game tomorrow in the noon at 11 and I'm planning on getting some quick and easy mcdonald's but I don't know if getting an iced coffee would be a good or bad idea. I went to some sites and some said it improved performance and some said it reduces blood flow so can someone that knows about this stuff help me pleeease.

I am taking it to prevent infection. I am aware of the dairy effects and that I must take it with a full glass of water. I am on the fourth/seven day prescription.
I am currently studying for finals and need the boost, but want to make sure I will not harm my body while doing so.
I am also experiencing the common side effects of mild diarrhea, cramps, and bloating. I have not had any coffee for the past three days. Today is the fourth day and I want coffee.

I take 4mg of xanax a day for an anxiety disorder. I love coffee. Can I drink caffeinated coffee? I'm talking like two to three cups a day? I've been doing it for almost a year without noticing any problems, but I just thought about it and wondered. Thank you for your answers.
